As more designers release their latest collections of contemporary titanium rings, shoppers are noticing a clear difference between regular titanium and aircraft grade men’s titanium wedding bands.

Titanium has a long history of being a metal that is indispensable to industry, primarily the aerospace industry. As the aerospace technology improves, fleets are designed to use aircraft grade titanium parts, and it is this same grade of titanium that is used in some top designer jewelry. To meet FAA standards, aircraft propellers need to be made of a metal known as Ti-64, a superior grade of titanium. It is a more potent version of Ti-662, which is also very hard and strong.

Aircraft grade titanium wedding bands are more scratch resistant and much stronger than Ti-999, or commercially pure titanium. Unlike many other metals, titanium is 100 percent compatible with the human body, which means it will not cause allergic reactions or skin irritations. This is true with any grade of titanium.

The trend towards titanium wedding rings for men is relatively recent. In fact, the use of titanium in any type of jewelry is a thoroughly modern concept. Not long ago, men were limited to a few basic styles of yellow gold and white gold traditional wedding bands. Now there are several contemporary metals available in men’s rings, including titanium, tungsten, cobalt and stainless steel. But it is the unique quality of titanium that has set the standard for contemporary men’s wedding rings.

Despite the fact that men’s titanium wedding bands can be difficult to find in your local jewelry store, there are myriad choices to be found online. As the public’s comfort level with online shopping improves, more and more couples are using the internet as their preferred shopping destination, even with something as important as modern wedding rings. Not only is the selection far better online, but an ecommerce store will often sell these rings at much more affordable prices.

Many men prefer titanium wedding bands because they are so strong and durable without being heavy on the hand. For men who work with their hands or in situations where rings can become dented and scratched, titanium is far superior to gold and softer metals. Other men simply prefer the look of titanium over other metals. It can be just as shiny as platinum, or brushed for a more modern look. Men who are allergic to gold or silver choose titanium because it is hypoallergenic and doesn’t react with the skin.

For those of you who wonder about the origins of men’s titanium wedding bands, the metal was named after the ancient god Titan when it was first discovered in 1795. With an atomic number of 22, this naturally occurring element is so prevalent in our universe it has even been found in space. Because it is such a lightweight, corrosion-resistant metal – and extremely strong – titanium was primarily used for making airplane propellers and other aerospace parts. Today, it is this same aircraft grade of the metal that is used to make men’s designer titanium wedding bands.

Wedding is one of the most important occasions in a person’s life. Everyone wants their wedding to be special. The mood and tone of the entire event is set by the venue. Planning your wedding at an exotic French location is a great option. A beautiful French wedding is sure to be memorable not only for you, but also for all your guests.

The diverse French geography offers a multitude options ideal for romantic weddings. For a beachside paradise, wedding venues on the Cote d’Azur are one of the best options, while the venues in Provence and Loire Valley allow you to turn your fairytale castle wedding into reality. Some of the best French wedding venues include -

Wedding by the Sea

If you have always dreamt of a seaside wedding, France offers a wide variety of coastal landscapes to choose from. You can celebrate your big day at one of the quaint and charming fishing towns in Normandy in the north of France. St Malo, Daeuville, Mont Saint Michel, Bayeux and Trouville are just a few of the options. The picturesque landscape in the northern part of the country is dotted by Tudor style properties. A Tudor castle can be a perfect setting for a memorable wedding.

If you prefer the wild and rugged Atlantic coast on the west, you can plan the wedding at one of the pretty villages across the coasts of Brittany like Roscoff, Vannes, Quimper or Brest. Further south you will find several other venues that offer striking ocean backdrops like Birritz (close to the Spanish coast), Arcachon (close to Bordeaux) and La Rochelle.

Any discussion on French seaside wedding venues is incomplete without the mention of the French Riviera. This region of the country offers some of the most breathtaking beach wedding venues. Nice, Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, St. Tropez and Monte Carlo are some of the best options to host your special day. For mesmerizing coastal views, you can also opt for wedding venues on the Cote d’Azur.

Mountain Setting Wedding

If you are more of a mountain than a beach person, France won’t disappoint you. French Alps are well-known for their beauty across the globe. Pyrenees in the south-west and Jura-mountains in the north-east are also great mountain wedding options. These magnificent mountains can offer a breathtaking backdrop to your wedding. Parisian theme wedding, wine region wedding, boat cruise wedding and castle wedding are some of the other popular French wedding options.

Fantastic weddings don’t have to cost tens of thousands of dollars. For the girl with unlimited resources, planning a wedding can be fun; even magical. For the gal on a budget, planning a wedding can be stressful at best. This should be one of the happiest times of your life! If you’re planning a wedding on a shoestring, stop worrying; there are many aspects of your wedding that won’t suffer if you scale back.

Keep in mind that the more money you save, the more can be given to the things that are the most important to you: your dress, your honeymoon or even your caterer. Are you looking for something that can be done on a budget, and done well? Look to your centerpieces! Here are some great ideas:

1. Upcycle your Bouquets

Here’s a fantastic idea that’s becoming a new rage: use your bridesmaid’s bouquets as centerpieces. Chances are that you won’t have as many bridesmaids as you have tables but you can use them on the food table or even on every other table. If you have a large bridal party, consider alternating centerpieces: one table has a bouquet and one has a candle arrangement in coordinating colours. They can place them “in water” on the tables and then take them home after the party as keepsakes.

2. Keep It Small

If your heart is set on centerpieces of beautiful flowers put together by a professional, shop smart and get the best price available. Buying flowers that are in season and local may require you to be a bit flexible, but will net you a better price. In addition, keeping your centerpieces less than 12 inches in height will lower the price. Simple arrangements will be cheaper than those that are more extravagant so keep that in mind.

3. Stones or Shells

I love this look! A simple tall, glass candleholder, surrounded by smaller glass tea light holders are the centerpiece, and the grouping is surrounded by river stones or combined with sea shells. It’s a simple, natural look that lends a Zen feeling to the table. The centerpiece is perfect for a garden wedding and will have your friends copying your great idea for their own weddings.

4. Cupcakes

Order a smaller wedding cake and use a cupcake tree for the centerpiece; it is a cute, fun idea that can look as simple or exquisite as you desire. Not only does this make a fantastic centerpiece but will give your guest ready access to their dessert at the same time. Consider using this centerpiece idea in combination with a smaller cake; you’ll save twofold.

5. Oil Lamps

You can buy oil lamps or lanterns at Wal-Mart for around $5 apiece. A bottle of paraffin oil will easy fill 3-5 lamps and costs less than a fiver. An oil lamp lit on each table makes a stunning, elegant vision. You may think it too plain, but wait until the lights are turned down; trust me, it will look amazing! If you want to get a bit more fancy with the idea, surround the lamps with loose flowers, flower petals or even pretty leaves that you’ve collected. The idea lends itself to hundreds of unique looks!

Your wedding doesn’t have to be extravagant to be the talk of the season. Save your budget for the things that matter most, like your dress, and use your rewards card the large expenses. Using your travel points for your honeymoon will save you even more money. Just remember, there are creative ways to fund your wedding, and you don’t have to go broke in the process!

Considered the most important day for a bride, the wedding has to be just perfect. Since time immemorial, wedding outfits have to be keen to detail. Moreover, most of the wedding accessories will follow the fashion trends of the moment. This year promises to bring out the best of wedding accessories.

More Colours for 2012

Colour has always taken the centre stage when it comes to unveiling trends and 2012 will be no exception. Elegance is another aspect that always finds its place in the pinnacles of fashionable designs. Gone are the days when brides only confined themselves to white accessories to match their attires. Nonetheless, even though white still remains popular, pink and blue colours are also quickly stamping their mark as popular colours. Expect to see more brides walking down the aisle in blue or pink shoes donned with crystal embellishments to bring out that extra kick of elegance.

The Jewellery to Choose

Jewellery will also be one of those accessories that will stand out in 2012. Wide bracelets, glittering diamond earrings and stylish necklaces will take their place as the ultimate compliment to the bride’s dress. Most women consider jewellery to be a symbol of commitment and it has to stand out. Most jewels in 2012 such as rings, earrings and bracelets will likely be simple and classic, but nonetheless, the elegance factor will still stand out.

Trends for Crowns and Tiaras

Crowns and tiaras are also a popular wedding accessory. This year will witness many brides preferring jewel-encrusted pieces. With the fashion trends likely to take shape in 2012, most brides may opt for embellishments such as pearls, crystals or diamonds to enhance the look. Nonetheless, it is advisable to keep the veil simple and not decorate it heavily. In addition, the decorations on the veil do not have to match the dress, but they should not clash.

Handbags

The handbag will also be a major accessory in weddings for 2012. While neutral tones dominated yesteryears, more colours will be preferred in 2012, with blue most probably taking the centre stage as the prominent colour.

Conclusion

The year 2012 will be the year in which to expect more emphasis on colour. Blue will be the most preferred, and many brides will line it up in their wedding accessories to complement their dresses. Nonetheless, even with the sophistication, vintage inspired accessories such as chandelier earrings, British hats such as those worn by Princess Kate among others will likely be a common fixture in weddings. When choosing the must have wedding accessories for 2012, it is imperative to understand that balance is always the key.

Like any other piece of jewelry, engagement rings are not immune to trends. While a classically beautiful ring remains beautiful forever, trends do come and go with each season.

For 2012, the hottest styles include rings with halo settings, coloured stones, vintage styles, intricate settings and “green” rings that are made of recycled materials, which are more environmentally friendly than other rings.

Halo Settings

The halo style marries a vintage look with a design that makes the center diamond appear larger, which most every woman will agree is a plus. The halo is a ring of stones wrapped around the center stone, which symbolizes an unbreakable vow between a couple. To keep the halo ring classic and timeless, diamonds should be used as the halo and the center stone. However, the trendiest halo look for 2012 is created by using diamonds for the halo and a sapphire or other coloured stone in the center – think Kate Middleton’s engagement ring from Prince William.

Coloured Gemstones

The Duke of Cambridge made the coloured stone one of the biggest trends for 2012 by proposing to the Duchess with the late Princess Diana’s sapphire and diamond halo engagement ring. The most expensive and elegant coloured diamonds are pink, blue, yellow and brown, but that needn’t turn anyone off the idea of a coloured stone. Wallet friendly variations are available by purchasing rings made with gemstones rather than diamonds; sapphires, rubies and emeralds are more popular than ever. Vintage Styles Everything that is fashionable and trendy goes out of style only to come back later as a better reinvention of its former self; and the same is true for today’s vintage inspired engagement rings. Halo rings provide a slight vintage feel, but the trend for 2012 is far more vintage inspired, with rings created with floral bands and Victorian decor. Small, pave diamonds are also used to create a look that increases the bling factor on rings with smaller center stones, which is a classically vintage trend.

Intricate Settings

Everyone knows that the diamond or gemstone is the center of attention on any engagement ring, but some are taking this a step further and creating personalized rings with intricate settings for beautiful stones. In 2012, expect to see an array of engagement rings with braided bands, twisted bands and bypass rings. Bypass rings, also known as tension set rings, are bands that appear to be unconnected save for the center stone which is held in place from two separate sides. These rings are becoming increasingly popular with women everywhere, and are rings that men will see more and more in jewelry stores this coming year.

Green Rings

Some women are only happy with the biggest and best diamond or gemstone engagement ring in the room; others want something a little more meaningful. Fortunately, in 2012 there is something for everyone because one of the most popular trends of the year is the “Green” ring. No, it is not a ring made of emeralds or other green gemstones; it is a ring made of recycled gold or other recycled material. For the woman concerned with the environmentally responsible aspect of her ring, men can purchase diamonds and gemstones that are certified as conflict-free stones, which means they are guaranteed not to come from stones that are not used to fund war or drug lords.

Popular and Classic

Despite what the trends are saying for 2012, the most popular type of engagement ring – also the most classic, elegant and timeless – is the diamond solitaire. The solitaire is exactly what it sounds like, a single diamond in a setting as simple or elaborate as a bride wants. This ring style is popular because of its timeless quality – diamonds never go out of style, and the solitaire engagement ring is something that will always remain sophisticated and elegant.

Another style that is currently very popular is the Pave setting. Pave diamonds are small diamonds inside the band of a ring that complement the solitaire in the center of the ring. In addition to adding a little extra bling, pave diamonds create the illusion that the center stone is larger and more sparkly than it actually is, which is something many women are happy with. Pave diamonds are small and add carat weight to a ring, but without the overwhelming look of several larger diamonds on one band. The use of pave diamonds adds a hint of elegance and a vintage feel to an otherwise plain solitaire engagement ring. Trends come and go but love lasts a lifetime. A bride will wear her engagement ring forever and potentially pass it down from generation to generation for her daughters to wear. The trends and styles of 2012 incorporate classic looks that should remain elegant and sophisticated for years to come.

Barcelona is a perfect place for newlyweds as there are lots of things to do in Barcelona. So, don’t think about it any longer, Barcelona is your destination!

This coastal city has the most wonderful scenery you can dream of. The urban area counts on an infinite number of buildings and sites that are breathtaking. Modernist artists, like Antoni Gaudí, contributed to the beautification of Barcelona and transformed it into a jewel of Modernism. You will spend hours sightseeing and taking pictures of the beautiful buildings you find along your way.

Barcelona is a coastal city that is bathed by the waters of the Mediterranean Sea, which means it has great beaches that you can enjoy and relax on. As well as being a coastal city, Barcelona is surrounded by mountains as well. If you want a little more adventure, try the amazing mountain of Montjuic and breathe the fresh air of this wonderful green area with your new husband or wife. A visit to the castle on top of the mountain can be very romantic!

If you are looking for something a little more romantic, there is nothing better than sharing a romantic dinner with your partner in one of the most luxurious restaurants in Barcelona. You can experience the most delicious Catalan dishes while enjoying the great views of the city.

If you like to party, Barcelona offers a great variety of nightclubs with all kinds of music. You can start by going to a bar and have some drinks or tapas, “patatas bravas” is a must! Then go to a disco and dance the night away!

After a long day going non-stop, you can enjoy the quietness and privacy of your accommodation. There are great apartments in Barcelona for couples with all modern conveniences and fully-equipped kitchens.

So, would you like to celebrate your love in Barcelona?

Each year, along with a drop in the temperature, winter brings with it the beautiful promise of glittering snow, glistening ice and twinkling holiday lights. A winter wedding, for its part, provides the perfect opportunity to make good use of some of that glitter and twinkle. Winter bridal jewelry should sparkle just like the snowflakes, and bring added brilliance to the bride’s wedding dress. This look can be achieved by using crystals, diamonds, and pearls mixed in with some winter colors, like sapphires for blue freshness and red rubies or green emeralds for holiday cheer.

When it comes to bridal fashion itself, winter styles of dresses and outerwear may have longer sleeves or higher necklines than they otherwise would during the summer. This allows the bride to stay warm in a colder environment. A higher neckline causes a pendant to lay against the dress instead of against the skin, so to make the pendant or necklace stand out, it must be larger or have more sparkle. Long sleeves on a dress or shrug hide small, insignificant bracelets, so cuff style bracelets or bracelets encased in glittering jewels should take precedence in winter weddings. Earrings, meanwhile, should match the other jewelry in both size and shape. When it comes to specifics, pay heed to the following guidelines and your winter wedding is sure to be cool as ice:

Silver
Opt for silver jewelry, instead of gold, for a winter wedding. Silver lends a special sparkle that exudes the freshness of winter. Gold tends to impart a glow that is more subdued, yet which shines well in the warm summer months. Pair silver with crystals or other gem stones for a crisp, frosty look befitting the crispest season of the year.

Pearls
Real pearls are rarely pure white, but that does not mean they cannot be worn in frosty white winters. Brides that opt for an ivory dress can easily pair that dress with ivory pearls for a winter wonderland look. Use multi-strands to make the pearls stand out. Pearl bracelets also make a great choice for a winter wedding; the opalescence of the pearls shimmering against the light makes them look almost iridescent. On the ears, wear dangling pearl earrings or a single pearl stud.

Crystals
Diamonds are a glorious accent to any winter bridal gown, but how many can afford all but the diamond engagement and wedding bands? A more affordable way to go is to use crystals. Many crystals have a clear-to-white tone, making them look like frosty ice. Swarovski crystals are a particularly good choice for a winter bride, as they are notorious for their sparkle and shine. They are actually glass that is cut to refract the rainbow spectrum of light, and some are treated with a metallic coating to make them shine even more. A combination of crystals and pearls makes for an elegant pairing for a wedding. Make sure the pearls match the dress and do not look yellow against the fabric.

Snowflakes
Snowflakes are always a popular theme for winter weddings. Crystal snowflakes in the form of a pendant, bracelet or earring set can easily steal the show, but be sure to choose from either crystal-encrusted or shiny plain silver snowflakes. Snowflake earrings do not need to be large to be seen because of their sparkle, so pick modestly; choose dangling snowflakes to represent the snowstorm of passion that led to the wedding day. Actress/Model Heidi Klum herself famously dressed as a snowflake in the 2010 Victoria’s Secret fashion show, proving that even the top designers are taking inspiration from the natural beauty which winter provides.

Hearts
Hearts are always a romantic gesture at a wedding, for fairly obvious reasons. Heart pendants are appropriate for any wedding season, but a winter wedding heart should be sparkly and bright. David Yurman designs many heart shaped pieces appropriate for a winter wedding. There are heart pendants encrusted in glittering Pave diamonds or set off with mother of pearl. Similarly, Jane Seymour created the open heart collection and one of her bracelets is perfect for any winter bride. The bracelet completely encircles the wrist of the bride in an intricate design that glitters beautifully against a wedding dress. She also designed an open heart angel necklace which serves as a wonderful accessory to any winter bride. Angels are always popular during the winter holidays and this one in particular will watch over the bride and make sure her heart stays wide open.

Color
Stay away from combinations of red and green; these are Christmas colors and this is a wedding celebration, not a holiday get together. That does not mean, however, that red and green should be avoided completely. Opt for a ruby or garnet theme to embody the coziness of the winter holidays. Try using emeralds to give off the brilliance of the holiday without overdoing it, as the deep green of the emerald serves as a good duo with satin, which is also a bit shiny. A single ruby or emerald teardrop necklace is striking when contrasted against a pure white wedding dress. Use red roses in the wedding bouquet with ruby and garnet jewelry, but keep to white flowers when using emeralds so as not to take away from the beautiful coloring of the stones.

Headwear
Tiaras or headbands keep the veil secured during the wedding. They are probably the most understated piece of jewelry a bride wears, but a good choice in a tiara can make all the difference in the world. Winter brides are lucky in this sense: they can bring as much glitter and sparkle to head gear as they want to bring in the romance and iridescence of winter, and it will still look classy. A pearl encrusted headband sets off a beautiful vale, while a snowflake inspired tiara is simply spectacular. Make a dazzling headpiece by wiring strung crystals or snowflakes into a headband.

There are so many choices for the winter bride when it comes to jewelry, but the most important thing is that the jewelry stands out and is not understated. It is also important that it glows and glitters like the first snowfall of the season, without taking any attention away from the true gem of the wedding: the beautiful bride.

Finding inspiration for a wintery wedding won’t require you to look very far. The natural winter landscape provides inspiration in design for colour schemes, accessories, venue, and many other essential parts of a wintery wedding. We’ll examine the important elements and give you wintery wedding design tips.

Start with Colour

Picking up on the colour palette available in nature at this time of year is quite easy, just look around! Blue hues and white are the core colours during this time of year that can inspire. Brown and other neutrals offer a subtle palette to play from. Festive reds and wintry sages are also classic colours for this time of year.

As the bride it’s your special day – so go ahead and choose the colours you look best with. Red not in your colour wheel? Choose a tone that will play up your natural beauty, not wash you out. An easy to work with colour palette of silver and white with blingy accents are all the rage in 2011.

Expert tip: Ensure that whatever colours you decide on will be used throughout the ceremony and reception – flowers, table linens, seat covers, runners, candelabras, etc…

Choose Flowers Wisely

During winter months in some parts of the U.S. it can be hard to find flowers that won’t cost more than an arm and a leg. That’s why you should choose flowers that are in season. Choices like red roses, calla lilies, and amaryllis are traditional winter flowers. Other choices that will likely be available at a nursery near you are: orchids, gerber daisies, tulips and chrysanthemums.

Foliage in lieu of flowers can be a good choice, especially for weddings on a budget. Ivy and holly are traditional during the winter season, but also using plant or tree stems, dogwood, or even pussy willow stems can add height to a table display.

Expert Tip: Try embellishing flower or foliage displays with crystals or other bling. For a classic look just tie a large solid coloured ribbon.

Venue

The location for your wedding is right up there in importance to choosing the right wedding dress. A lot can go wrong if you find a bad venue. Don’t forget what time of year you’re planning your wedding for. Icy roads, spontaneous blizzards, and power outages aren’t uncommon during this festive time of year.

Make sure the venue of your wedding is easily accessible via car, has nearby accommodations, and is close to an international airport for your guests flying in from out of town. Rural areas are great for weddings, but hard to get to for traveling family. Do everyone a favour and choose a venue that is easily accessible.

Expert Tip: When choosing a winter venue make sure the location has proper heating, snow & ice removal, and proper parking for guests. Snow and ice can make it difficult on wedding attendees, that’s why it’s so important to make sure guests are warm and safe.

These are just a few areas you should be concerned with for your next winter wedding. Are you planning a winter wedding? What colour palette did you choose?

Thailand is a country rich with romance, adventure, and relaxation—exactly what you’re looking for on your honeymoon. Whether you want to live it up in bustling Bangkok, trek through the jungle in Chiang Mai, or sprawl out on the beach in Phuket, you’ll find Thailand tempting, with its balmy temperatures and iridescent sea. When you’re not drifting off in a newlywed embrace, you’ll be awed by the stunning landscapes and exotic location of Thailand.

A City Honeymoon

You might not think of Bangkok when you think of a romantic honeymoon in the tropics, but Thailand’s capital is full of life and culture. Stay in a luxury hotel and explore the city together. You’ll see fine art, tour Buddhist temples, and experience the Thai culture. If you just want to relax and pamper yourselves, make an appointment at a spa for an extravagant massage or treatment. Plenty of restaurants offer delicious cuisine, and you can burn it off by dancing all night at a local disco.

A Honeymoon off the Beaten Path

Chiang Main offers newlyweds the option of discovering the bustling largest city in northern Thailand or heading to the outskirts for a jungle tour. It’s quieter than Bangkok, but it still offers plenty to do. The city is home to more than 300 temples, which are free to visit. The old city walls of historic Chiang Mai are still standing and are surrounded by a moat. The old city hall is now home to an art and cultural center, and several ancient temples still stand inside the walls.

Just outside of Chiang Mai is a natural wonderland. Three different elephant parks give you the opportunity to see these gentle creatures in action. You can take elephant rides or watch performances at Maesa Elephant Camp. If you’re more interested in seeing elephants in a natural habitat, visit the Elephant Nature Park, which is a sanctuary for injured elephants or other elephants that would not survive in the wild.

If experiencing an adventure together is your idea of romance and bonding, take a canopy tour above the rainforest. Two different companies—AFECT and Flight of the Gibbon—offer zipline tours through the lush jungle. You can hike to a waterfall, where you can languish beside each other and enjoy the magical beauty.

A Beach Honeymoon

If you prefer the beach, you won’t have to look far in Thailand. About an hour outside of Thailand is Pattaya, a beach town with booming nightlife and plenty of entertainment. If you go down to the beach, you’ll get to be alone with your sweetheart. Instead of staying in a huge resort, consider booking your stay at a private bungalow on the beach. You’ll be able to trade the sounds of the disco for the sounds of the ocean after a night on the town.

Phuket is another popular beach destination. Besides having some of the most glamorous resorts, Phuket is home to some of the most beautiful beaches in Thailand (and the world). Enjoy your new spouse next to a secluded lagoon, or sip a tropical drink on a white sand beach.

Spending a week or two of uninterrupted pleasure is one of the best parts of getting married. Whether your honeymoon plans involve action, adventure, or rejuvenation, include Thailand in those plans. Enjoying each other’s company in one of the most amazing places on earth will give you memories to last a lifetime.

Autumn is one of the most beautiful times of the year to tie the knot. The mild temperatures, riotous fall colours, and approaching holidays make it a wonderful time for celebrating family and friends, too. Plus, this Fall 2011 is shaping up to be one of the most exciting seasons in fashion’s memory — especially for wedding dresses! This is an article on some of my favourite bridal trends for this fall. We’re seeing lots of exciting texture and volume in many of this year’s fall and winter wedding dresses. These features are both extra festive, and very becoming on all body types. Your betrothed will fall in love with you all over again when he sees you coming down the aisle in an ultra feminine wedding dress with lots of embroidery on the bodice, and a sexy, unexpected ball gown skirt with crinoline hoops to give it shape. These gowns make an elegant statement without your ever having to say a word.

Additionally, lush skirts decorated with luxurious feathers, embroideries, and even translucent prints were all over the bridal shows. These decorations looked amazing, as with your every stride, the gown will undulate hypnotically. This is a glamorous take on the simple, relatively unadorned white skirts we’ve seen on bridal gowns for years. If you’d like to really make a statement on your wedding day, this is a trend you should explore. Beautiful, dramatic skirts have the added advantage of making your waist seem very small, and give you a lovely hourglass figure.

While many women were excited to wear long, dramatic veils after both Kate Middleton and Kate Moss reinvigorated the tradition, with the advent of these very dramatic bridal gowns, we are seeing this trend for fancy veils die back again. It just doesn’t look right with an ultra-fancy dress. So, if you choose to wear a voluminous, richly decorated wedding dress this autumn, consider pairing it with a short veil, or even foregoing the veil altogether, and wearing your hair in a sleek, glamorous style. This will keep your look modern, and prevent it from feeling “overdone.”

We’re also seeing lots of classic “fishtail” silhouettes on the bridal runways. This look is a bit trickier to pull off, but if you have a fabulous figure and want to make a singular entrance, this look is very glamorous, and you’ll want to display all your wedding pictures with pride. “Fishtailed” gowns are a fantastic way to show off a toned rear view, but they can be a bit difficult to walk in, so keep this in mind. It’d be a shame to trip and fall. If you decide to go this route, you may want to consider finding a dress with a removable skirt so that it is easier for you on the dance floor, or you may even want to change out of your bridal gown after the ceremony entirely.

Finally: sleeves. I already mentioned the residual effects of the royal wedding, and while a dramatic veil doesn’t look as fresh as it did last season, princess tiaras are still extremely popular, as are sleeves. Whether you want to look ladylike, need to cover up your tattoos, or just feel more comfortable with extra coverage, this is a very flattering look.

I hope this overview of this fall’s bridal trends helps you in your decision. And whatever look you choose, above all, remember to have fun! Happy hunting!
