If you have big plans to go out this weekend, you might be looking for a fresh and exciting way to spruce up your favorite outfit. Fortunately, several high-class fashion designers and makeup companies have you covered, and you will not have to spend a fortune to acquire one of the hottest accessory trends for 2013. Instead of struggling to find the perfect piece of jewelry to wear around your neck or wrist, you can use a designer temporary tattoo instead.

How did Temporary Tattoos become a Fashion Accessory?

Until three years ago, everyone looked at these novelties as something that kids wore at a carnival or birthday party. When designers such as Peter Philips began incorporating them into runway shows, though, they quickly grabbed the imagination of fashion lovers around the world. Unlike your child’s favorite temporary tattoo, these designs are made to present either a subtle or bold statement to the world that conveys both elegance and style. One of the best things about these adornments is that many people will be unable to tell if you are wearing jewelry or if you have a real tattoo. Only the most dedicated fashionistas will know the secret of your new look from a quick glance.

The Perks of Using Temporary Skin Art

Although an investment into a piece of jewelry will provide you with something that you can use multiple times, a temporary tattoo will enable you to create the perfect look for a relatively inexpensive price. It is also really appealing to be able to try a new style without committing to wearing something on a regular basis. Temporary body art can also provide people who are curious about actually getting inked with a better idea of what it looks like to have something etched into their skin. They are also a great fashion accessory for an outfit that utilizes colors that are either louder or softer than your usual wardrobe, and you can easily find the perfect design to suit your mood.

Where can I get these Unique Accessories

Most high-end makeup stores have begun carrying these tattoos, and they are offered for sale in various price ranges from companies such as Urban Decay and Chanel. It is also easy to find the perfect temporary accessory online. Some sites even offer custom designs that would be one-of-a-kind. Once you have made your selections, you can start pairing each tattoo with your favorite outfits to create an entirely new look.

Proper Application and Preservation

Just like a child’s temporary tattoo, these high-class versions do require some care if you want to get the most out of them. Once they have been applied, you will need to avoid scrubbing the area, and it is also a good idea to keep it from getting overly wet. In other words, it is best to leave this accessory at home if you are planning to go swimming.

As long as you treat the applied image well, though, it will look stunning throughout the evening, and it might even last for an entire weekend. Either way, the tattoo is certain to capture the attention of others and provide you with a great way to temporarily alter part of your appearance.

Author’s Bio

Writer Molly Pearce is also a freelance artist who is always searching for edgy and creative ways to express herself, and designer body art is a relatively inexpensive way to do this. The top designs of permanent tattoo artists are used by Tattoo You, an e-commerce store where customers can buy a variety of unique temporary tattoos. Through this site, a formerly simple trend that has been mostly for kids in the past becomes a unique and stunning adult fashion accessory.

When it comes to fashion, the trends are constantly changing, especially when the cold months turn into warmer months. So as you find yourself at the beginning stages of Spring 2013, you want to jump in with both feet.

Patterns and Exotic Accessories

Classics like black and whites are back in stripes, floral, checks, as well as new prospects from chic attire from around the world like colourful head wraps, and beaded motifs. Don’t be afraid to experiment with new colours like corals, teals, tangerine, or softer colours like a rosey pink, but if you are hesitant to get adventurous, wear them in small accents in jewelry or nail polish.

Get a Little Rustic

Add a dash of leather (or pleather for some of us) in small ways to your wardrobe, a beautiful bag with rustic metal looks great in contrast to the soft spring colours. Full or lightweight custom made scarves can be tied around bags to add a dash of femininity.

Spring Breezes

Full skirts and drop-waist skirts are big for this spring, whether it’s the way they catch the breeze, or letting your legs see the light of day, we love them. Play with colour, skirts lend themselves well to pops of colour, and there are many popular choices this year such as African violet, nectarine, and poppy red.

The Little Things

Belts are meant to be shown off, at the waist or at the hips. Adding what was said earlier about rustic leather, a worn leather belt paired with a mint coloured skirt, or a belt with a feminine flower at the hip will bring a fresh twist to any outfit. Jewelry is not to be overlooked, so a chunky gold or copper necklace or bracelet with small accented colours like teal or violet, or big fabric beaded pieces are gorgeous.

Blast from the Past

Faded and oversized denim jeans are coming back straight from the 90’s, and pairing them with a structured and colourful tank makes it easy for everyone to wear. Loose fits, light washes, and tapered ankles make for a fun, and diverse season. Embrace the global trend with your denim by pairing in a boldly coloured scarf, or some African inspired jewelry.

Tastefully Sheer

Sheer clothing has gotten a bad rap in the past, but worn the right way, it’s the perfect contrast for any occasion. It’s always great for spring and summer keeping you cool and chic, but there are some basic rules: keep it white and black, layers are encouraged, and mix it up with other textures.

Enjoy the trends, don’t be afraid of color or trying something new, update your classics, and have fun!

We all have old clothes that we just have a hard time parting with. Sometimes we envision ourselves being able to someday wear our high school skinny jeans twirling around on the floor like a disco queen in a a glittery shirt. Although the 80′s will likely never make a return, you can take some of your pieces from yesteryear and modify them to a more current and fashionable look.

Shirts and Blouses

There are a few things that you can do to revive an old shirt or blouse. If the shirt or blouse has huge shoulder pads from the 80′s but is otherwise still a good shirt, you could simply remove the shoulder pads, wash or dry-clean the shirt or blouse and wear it. However, if the shirt is very outdated or does not fit properly, you could cut away the sleeves and collar, stitch or sew down the raw edges and wear it is a neck scarf or a head wrap.

Sweaters

For your old sweaters, you have a couple of creative options. If the sweater is one that is a themed sweater, such as a Christmas sweater or a sweater with a seasonal theme that you probably are not going to wear, you could convert it into a pillow. If you have several old sweaters that have lost their shape over time or become too stretched to be considered fashionable, you could make them into a throw for your couch. Simply remove any sleeves, buttons, and zippers. Once the hardware has been removed, sew together the rectangular pieces to your desired length and width. Something a little off-beat shows your creative side.

Denim

With all the cute updated cuts that actually flatter our figures, turning old denim into something that you will actually use is a great idea. A really neat idea is to take the pockets from a few pairs of old jeans. Take an inexpensive cloth purse and sew the pockets to the bag, preferably with the “wrong” side facing outward. This will give your bag a unique, young look. Check your storage unit, like Pasadena MD self storage, for any old jeans you could use.

Silk Shirts and Dresses

No one wants to part with silk. Over time some silk garments can become a bit worn and frayed. You can turn your silk pieces into a beautiful sarong to be worn over a swimsuit. Remove sleeves and buttons. If your piece of silk is large enough, the only thing you have to do is cut it to your desired length and width. If you are working with several pieces, you can sew the rectangular pieces together and create a design that is unique to you. Converting your old silk pieces into fashionable scarves is also a great idea.

Let your creative side shine through by making your old garments new again. It only takes a little bit of thought and if you need inspiration, you will find plenty of ideas online and in magazines. Just have fun.

The future of sexy lingerie offers a lot to be excited about. Here are a few seductive new turns the world of lingerie is about to take.

IMITATE STRAPS

Thanks to “50 Shades of Grey,” nuances of bondage seem to be taking a stronghold. Designers are now creating all different kinds of lingerie that imitate the look of being wrapped in straps. Some of the lingerie uses a combination of sheer fabric to provide a
little more coverage, while others let the skin do the talking. You can find simple bras that create the illusion of being made of straps, or you can find full bodice pieces to create an overall stunning look.

LACE IS BACK

This year, lace is back with an alluring vengeance. In fact, most of the newest fashion trends in lingerie feature lace in some aspect. While black lace is the most popular, you will also see red, pink, and blue lace. Lace can be found lining the tops of bras, trimming camisoles, and covering corsets. Many believe sheer lace is considered the sexiest, but lace lined with other fabrics creates a stunning appearance. If you are a more conservative type, you can find full-coverage robes and camisoles that employ this upcoming trend.

HIGH WAISTS

Undergarments with a waistline that cruises north of your belly button used to be considered “granny panties.” However, recent trends show that sexy undergarments with a high waist can and do exist. Designers are using a combination of satin and lace to create this new fashion-forward look. Many designers are also taking cues from the pin-up girls from the past to create gorgeous designs that make a woman’s figure look sultry.

TAKE A CUE FROM DISNEY

Lingerie that imitates popular childhood cartoon characters is another growing trend. For example, lingerie is being modeled after Pocahontas, Snow White and Cinderella. Each sexy design adds subtle cues from the character’s personalities, building on the fantastical fairy tale personas. You can find Pocahontas-themed lingerie with slight fringes and small feathers or Ariel-inspired lingerie will be turquoise with slight seashell-inspired trim- let your derriere live happily ever after!

PLUS-SIZE TAKEOVER

Plus-size women no longer have to settle for beige, bland and boring. In fact, plus-size lingerie took a dramatic turn for the better when plus size model Robyn Lawley signed on to be the face of a major UK lingerie company. As a size 16, she demonstrates a normal body type, and fans are responding with support and excitement. This move has garnered a lot of attention from other lingerie companies, which will likely result in a whole new bouquet of sexy lingerie designs for women of all sizes. Lingerie is about showing off your curves, no matter what size.

With lingerie making changes to accommodate anyone’s desire, there is no doubt that you will be able to find ample, sultry styles that suit your body type and personality. It’s time to unlock the vixen within, get out there and indulge in some new lingerie. What’s next on the sexy-scape is anyone’s guess, but our bets are on gorgeous.

 Tweet This Post

Here are 10 fashion mistakes any female should be aware of:

1. Clothes that don’t fit

You should never try to hide your wobbly bits beneath clothing that is too big for you. Too many women try to conceal their lumps and bumps by wearing oversized, baggy, clothing which actually does the opposite of the desired effect – baggy clothes make you look bigger.

Tip: Try to find clothes which taper in at the narrowest part of your body; this will become the focal point, making you appear, and feel, slimmer. Another useful idea when you have found that perfect item: try on at least two sizes and buy the item that fits well over the larger parts of your body and then have the rest adjusted at your favourite tailors. For a little extra outlay, you will have clothes that you will wear and wear – and feel fabulous in.

2. Too much solid colour

There is nothing wrong with solid colours however wearing all-solid colours can make you appear a touch dowdy. You can avoid this by introducing a splash of pattern into your outfit, making things – including you – altogether spicier.

Tip: Try mixing a colourful, patterned blouse or tight-fitted t-shirt with a duller, well-fitted, blazer and a pair of, snug, stretch jeans. You’ll still be wearing plenty of solids but you will look like a woman with a purpose.

3. Grandma jeans

Wearing the same old, light-wash, high-waist, jeans for practical reasons is a definite no-no. Even if you are running the kids to school, or steam cleaning the kitchen floor, you can be practical – and – look fabulous, whatever your shape. The beauty about jeans is that virtually every designer and high street retailer has their own line, catering for every size and shape possibility.

Tip: Spend a little time finding a pair of jeans that fit and feel great. Go for a darker wash and choose between a mid and low rise, depending on your shape and preference. With a little attention you, and your legs, will look altogether less dowdy.

4. Tired bras

Believe it or not, your bra can only give you the support and lift you need for so long. After umpteen wears and washes, the fabric (and, if applicable, under-wires) loses its strength and things start to head south. You want to avoid this at all cost.

Tip: Refresh your regular-wear bras at least every twelve months and keep things looking pert; a functioning, well fitted, bra will help you look and feel slimmer.

5. Double dip denim

Denim is a must in everybody’s wardrobe, used properly it can be worn with pride and purpose. Just don’t double up on it!

Tip: Don’t do it! Wear your favourite denim jacket with a chic pair of slim fitting chinos, or over a ‘floaty’ casual dress.

6. Tights or stockings

Tights and stockings can be worn to fabulous effect, especially those with the latest patterns. But please, please don’t wear them with open-toe shoes or sandals however cold it is. If it is cold outside, wear closed-toe shoes, or boots, coupled with plain or patterned tights or stockings. Or design the perfect pair of shoes online at Shoes of Prey.

Tip: If you really want to wear your open-toe shoes or sandals, take the time to thoroughly moisturise your legs which will look healthy and shiny.

7. Tracksuits

If you are working out, painting the lounge, or steam cleaning that kitchen floor again, your tracksuit is fine. It prevents your good clothes from getting spoiled.

Tip: Don’t venture out in your tracksuit, not even for a pint of milk.

8. Beige

Why beige clothes are available beggars belief; nobody actually looks good in the dowdy hue. Beige has a frightening ability to bring out skin imperfections (yes those you have just spent the best part of the morning concealing).

Tip: Always try to wear a more jovial colour next to your face and your appearance will be altogether brighter.

9. Too much makeup

Unless you are in a west-end show, there is no need for caked-on makeup, or excessive fake tan.

Tip: Buy good quality makeup and you will find you use less and spend less time having to apply. Avoid fake tan lotions which leave streaks, or which make you look like a worker in Willy Wonker’s Chocolate Factory.

10. Visible panty lines

If you intend on wearing anything tight around the hips and buttocks, you need to pay attention to what you pull out of the underwear drawer; visible panty lines is an all-too-common faux pas.

Tip: Wear nude underwear, or an undergarment to flatten out any giveaway bumps. You will look fantastic and feel sexy at the same time.

When you see another individual, within a few seconds based upon the way they look, you will have judged their character and made certain preconceptions about them. This is something we all do without thinking about it.

People will also do it to you, so your appearance can boost you up or let you down and emit messages about you that might not necessarily be accurate. We have all had those moments when we run to the shop looking worse for wear, and we bump into that old school friend and we worry what they will think of us. Really we should care what message we emit all the time, what strangers must think of us by the way we appear. While it’s impossible to be immaculate all the time, when in a professional work environment, there is no excuse.

In business, it’s these quick few initial seconds where we are judged that can secure deals and propel our career. Our business presentation can be important for our future. In meetings and pitches what is said is of course of key importance, but presentation is everything.

Style tips…

Your outfit of choice should represent what you do. If you have a creative job, you should present yourself in a smart manner but also show your creativity in the way you dress, it will be expected from you, and will show others you are the full package.

If you are office based, a smart suit is always a winner, but unusual tailored cuts and accessories can make you stand out from the dreary grey suit crowd and get you noticed. Fellow colleagues and your boss will take note of your efforts.

Power dressing…

Really think how it is you want other to perceive you. Are you the manager seeking more respect? If so, look into power dressing. Power dressing involves sharp clean lined outfits which scream out that you are a confident and responsible individual. Uniforms are designed just for this purpose, police uniforms are designed to make us feel a certain respect for police officers based on their appearance alone. A work based outfit should serve the same purpose, and it may not be your preferred style, but if viewed as a work uniform, your look will come together and you will feel comfortable in it.

Where to start…

Think about the sort of job you have and your career progression aims. If you want people to take you seriously research styles in magazines that you feel look professional and reflect the sort of career you have and have that ‘power’ look. You want your outfit to have a sense of you, so choose outfits that aren’t a million miles away from your character, but remember it is a uniform. If you are unsure, make the most of trying different looks on. Hit the shops with friends and mix together different combinations of styles and get feedback from your friends, they should be honest to give you their true opinion.

It may be a career that involves early starts and long hours, but putting thought into your style can really command respect from others. First impressions are so important, and your thoughts and efforts will pay off. Budget can be tight for most, but there are a range of shops which offer unique clothing which is perfect for the workplace. Take the time to research what is available and what looks good.

For women, the most important thing next to a perfect pair of shoes is wearing the right dress for the right occasion. 95% of all the women in America would rather cancel a date or prefer not to go to an event when they are not able to find the ideal outfit. This is why it is very important to have basic knowledge on what to strut around with when planning to attend that next wedding or that promenade party. Here is a foolproof guide for you!

What to wear on weddings:

A wedding is mostly the perfect occasion to wear dresses in pastel colours. They scream elegance, softness and it adds up to the solemn atmosphere of the occasion. If there is a particular motif, say olive green and cashmere pink, you might want to play along by wearing a simple pale pink chiffon dress. Nowadays, even weddings have themes. If you are attending one with Texan theme, wearing a plaid- printed dress will suit the event. If it is a beach wedding, wear something light and feathery to accentuate the breezy ambience.

What to wear on holiday parties:

Whether it is on a Christmas, New Year or the Thanksgiving, make a statement by arriving on the scene in your little black dress. Nobody can go wrong with one. You can simply accessorize with the help of a scarf or a signature necklace. The key here is to not appear like it is too much. The darker the shade of your dress, the greater slimming effect it has on you. If you like extra embellishments, you can put on a sequined cardigan.

What to wear on your first promenade dance:

For young ladies, this is their most anticipated event. They have the entire license in the world to get flashy and overdressed. Quinceanera dresses are the best bets for this occasion. It is long, full of ruffles and perfect for dances. A strapless Qunceanera gown in fuchsia will look best on bronze skin tone. While underwater blue goes well with those who have fair skin tones. The catch in choosing what dress to wear is this: you can pick something which matches your personality. If you are the batch’s sweetheart, you can go for a princessy ball-gown. If you are the Alpha female, you can strut around in a bloody red dress with a halter top.

What to wear on a barbecue party:

Summer means toying around with easy, vibrant colours. It is better to be seen at a party like this in an “effortless” aura. You should never have to be anxious what dress fits the happening. This is the time to put on your favourite English hat, be dressed in something floral and wear flip-flops. A maxi long dress will stand out among the crowd. You will surely turn heads around because this is something that is neither too showy nor too less. With the right accessories, you will be able to pull off the entire ensemble without difficulties.

Wearing the correct outfit for a particular event should never stress you out. Just be yourself and everything else will eventually follow.

Just because you are barely making ends meet doesn’t mean that you don’t deserve to look your best. It is actually quite easy to learn how to stretch your dollars in order to make them count towards an amazing new wardrobe. Shopping the best deals and stretching your dollar is something that won’t come naturally. Being an avid frugal shopper is something that is going to take some practice, so here are some tips that will help you get started on your journey towards learning the ins and outs of obtaining the best deals.

Don’t Settle for Obvious, Shop Around

It’s easy to assume that certain major retailers will have the styles that you want, but keep an open mind. When stretching your dollars it is important to weigh all of your options. Name brands don’t necessarily mean quality. New clothes that are comfortable and cute deserve some time being put into finding them. Do your research; you work hard for your money so it is important to be satisfied with the new outfits that you acquire.

Search Engine Your Style

Take advantage of the internet to shop for deals. You will be surprised at cost trends that you will find online that you would have completely overlooked if you just did your shopping in the store. You always have the option of going to the department store to purchase the items you want, but viewing them online first may put things in perspective for you. Most online sites allow you to view pricing on merchandise by putting them in order from lowest to highest pricing. This is when the internet is your best friend. This gives you the ability to see and view the products in the price range that you feel comfortable paying. It is common to find a link to sale or clearance items that are in store. Instead of having to rummage through the bargain bin, you will be able to clearly see what they have and the sizes that are offered by the click of a button.

Used is a Cost Effective New

Bargain shopping at thrift stores is a wonderful way to go about stretching your dollars. Lightly used clothing boutiques allow you to acquire women’s clothes at affordable prices. Thrift stores can add some unique pieces to your wardrobe that will be stylish and original. A lot of used clothing has only been worn once, so don’t think of thrift store shopping as paying for hand-me-downs, but rather an opportunity to get a great deal. Use Coupons to Your Advantage
Before you go shopping always check online for coupons. You will be surprised at how many stores will give coupon percentages off their clothing. It’s all about being a smart shopper and going into a store prepared to get the best deal possible.

Wait For a Special Holiday Date

Sales and bargains tend to spring up around holidays. Valentine’s Day sales, Labor Day sales, and everything in between, discounts tend to pop up on holiday weekends. Stores use this tactic to get people to go shopping on their days off. You can use this approach to plan when you should hit the clothing stores in order to secure the best deals. Timing is everything.

While some students will attend class looking like they just rolled out of bed, don’t count yourself among them. Being fashionable in college isn’t that difficult to do and, surprisingly, can be done on a student’s budget.

If you’re looking for ways you can be the height of fashion on your college campus this fall, here are five tips that will have you looking like you stepped out of a magazine:

1. Coats

If you live in a chilly climate, take full advantage of this fall’s fashion trend: the coat! Military inspired coats and jackets are in style this season as are ultra-feminine styles. You’ll be doing a lot of walking back and forth to class so grab a few jackets in different styles. A coat that falls to mid-thigh will keep your hips and thighs warm on cold days and a cropped jacket will look trendy on the days when you simply need an extra layer.

2. Patterns

When you’re shopping for clothes this season, think patterns! Polka dots, stripes and plaids are all popular choices for fall. From teeny weenie polka dots to large, bold spots, tops with dots are going to be a must-have. If dots aren’t your thing, however, don’t be afraid to try stripes or plaids. Flip through any trendy magazine and you’ll get a feeling for ways to pair your patterns without looking like you’ve just come from the circus.

3. Texture

Texture will reign supreme this fall in all areas of fashion. From corduroy pants to wool fisherman’s sweaters, think about texture when making your purchases. Just like patterns, textures must be paired correctly to avoid looking like you’re trying too hard. Pair a lovely chunky sweater with a pair of skin-hugging tights or a pair of textured pants with a body-skimming top. Use texture to draw attention to your best assets!

4. Eye Wear

If you wear glasses, celebrate your four eyes and ditch the contacts. Glasses are making a huge comeback and, with the myriad of styles available, can make a fantastic fashion statement. The days of tiny, barely noticeable glasses are out and big glasses are in. Remember those eye glasses you wore back in elementary school? Stop laughing at your old photos: those glasses are back with a modern twist. Online sites like ZenniOptical.com are affordable sources for eyeglasses so be sure to have several pair when you head off to campus.

5. Signature Colours

If you have a favourite colour, try to incorporate it into every outfit you wear and make it your signature colour. Whether it’s your tights, your shirt, your shoes or your hat, wearing a signature colour with each outfit will make you stand out from the crowd. All colours are popular this fall but especially in jewel tones. If your favourite colour is purple, choose an amethyst shade. Do you love red? Aim for a deep ruby or garnet shade for your clothing.

Chances are that you went through high school being at least somewhat concerned about the way you look. Don’t lose your sense of fashion when you hit the college campus this fall. It’s incredibly easy to walk to class in your sweats after a night of cramming and too little sleep, but resist the temptation. There is no rule in the college handbook that says you have to dress like a slob simply because you’ve gone off to college!

A lot of people are starting to tighten the purse strings and are looking for different ways to save some money nowadays. If you are starting to work on a budget and still want to find some fantastic new clothes to wear then don’t despair. There are a variety of options that allow you to get a great new wardrobe, even buy some designer clothes, without breaking the bank. As long as you are willing to spend some time searching, you can find some brilliant deals on discounted clothing which allow you to look amazing for less.

Second Hand Shops – Filled with Treasures Waiting to be Found

If you don’t mind wearing hand me downs then you can find some really good deals on clothing in second hand shops and charity shops. You may have in mind that these clothes are all dirty and worn out, though you will often find that there are plenty of offers where the items of clothing have hardly been worn and appear almost new. People get rid of clothing for many reasons, they may not fit properly, they may be a present that they don’t want, or their tastes have changed. If you are hoping to come across more pricey garments and designer labels, it may be worthwhile going to some charity shops that are located in more affluent areas of the town. These are more likely to have higher end clothing than the shops located in the town centre. Second hand and charity shops are a treasure trove of gorgeous items just waiting to be found. There are vintage items that can be found at a fraction of their original retail price and you can often find real bargains just waiting for you.

Online – The Place of Endless Offers

Once you start to look for cheap clothes to buy online you will be amazed at how many different sites are set up exactly for this purpose. There are huge choices for you to find great deals and bargains online, not only are the prices much less than in the shops, there is a great deal more in terms of size, style and color to choose from.
