Creating the Perfect Men’s Emo Hairstyle
The emo hairstyle is quite popular among young men today. Their parents may or may not appreciate the look, but youth are inspired by the unique style that the emo look holds.
The emo hairstyle is a breakaway style from the punk or goth sub-culture. Men’s emo hairstyles allow you to express your individuality and creativity.
The short emo hairstyle usually has short cut and long bangs. When you use this style, your bangs will be worn in one long fringe that lays off to one side of your face. The bangs will usually cover one eye, either partially or completely. Men usually prefer a short emo hairstyle, spiky in the back and with a fringe of bangs in front.
Long emo haircuts involve more of a shaggy, long cut. Within this style, your bangs are usually worn in a longer fringe, and then brushed off to one side of your face, similar to that seen in the short emo hairstyle. As a rule, the bangs are laid on the right hand side of the face, but this certainly isn’t a hard and fast rule. Longer emo hair styles often appear in darker shades of colour.
If you have straight hair, creating the bangs in a fringe is easier. If your hair is frizzy, wavy or curly, it may be more difficult to create and maintain the emo bangs.
Many hairstyling products can be found to help tame your wavy or curly hair. From hair wax to smoothing lotions, hair gels to hair sprays and anti-frizz products, you should be able to find a product or a combination of products that will work for you. In addition, blow dryers, hair irons and hair straighteners can all help you in creating that long wall of bangs that is the trademark of the emo hairstyle.
