Fashion Checklist for Your Next Date
Do you have a big night on the town coming up with a special guy? Are you planning to have a fun, romantic, carefree evening away from the stress of everyday life? Dating should be fun and you shouldn’t have to spend your time worrying about how you look. If you want to have a good time on your date, a little pre-planning can help you and allow you to really enjoy your night out. Make sure that you’ve thought of everything in regards to your looks with this quick checklist.
Step #1 – Choose 3 Outfits
If you know where you’re going, you need to dress accordingly. If you’re making the plans, be set about exactly where you’re going. If he’s doing the planning, get him to commit to an exact location ahead of time. Choose 3 potential outfits and only 3. You will likely go back and forth over the course of the week leading up to the date. Try each outfit on in a variety of lighting to choose your absolute go-to outfit. Have your clothes set upon by the day leading up to the date. This way you will be prepared and won’t spend the hours before your date switching outfits.
Step #2 – Decide on Hair and Makeup Ahead of Time
Our theme is being prepared. Start to entertain how you will do your hair and makeup as you are trying on the various outfits during the week. Take time to look at pictures of yourself where you look really great. Keep the colours and tones of your makeup from these photos in mind as you begin to apply your makeup for your date. Get these last minute decisions out of the way well ahead of time.
Step #3 – Don’t Forget the Shoes
Buy some new shoes for your date and try them on ahead of time. Shoe shopping is so much fun that it can be a great diversion from the stress of planning for your date. Pick up a few new pairs and have one special pair set aside for the outfit you choose. Even if he’s like a typical male, and doesn’t really notice your shoes, you’ll feel great with a new pair specially chosen for the occasion.
Step #4 – Set Your Accessories Out Early
You don’t want to spend the last few minutes frantically searching for your favourite pair of earrings. Set out all of your accessories during your planning stages and you can avoid this hassle. Pick one, really eye-catching piece of jewellery that he is sure to notice. You don’t have to go over-the-top, but if you have a dazzling piece of jewellery that will really top off your look, be sure to wear it.
If you cover these 4 bases early on, you can spend the night enjoying the company of your date, instead of fretting over how you look. Being prepared days in advance can allow you to have that special night out that you’ve been anticipating.
